The Simplex Greensand Plus Filter – VIP-1E Series is a professional-grade filtration system engineered for the effective removal of iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide from water supplies.
Featuring a single fiberglass tank and a lead-free brass multiport control valve, this system is ideal for industrial boilers, commercial laundries, and car washes that require high-clarity water to prevent equipment staining and scale buildup.
The advanced VIP-1E controller provides demand-initiated backwash, ensuring efficient operation and self-diagnostic monitoring, making it a reliable solution for light to heavy commercial applications.

Lead-free brass multiport control valves with self-cleaning, hydraulically balanced positive acting piston.
ABS tank liner for longer service life. FRP wrapped for strength and corrosion resistance. ANSI/NSF listed tanks.
Manganese treated greensand plus must be supplied with sodium hypochlorite or potassium permanganate on a continuous basis. Normally a chemical feed pump is used for this purpose. Chemical is pumped into the raw water prior to contact with the greensand filter. Contact our commercial support department for help with sizing and pricing of the chemical pumps.
Note: 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ flow meters supplied with above products are plastic. 3″ and 4″ are insertion type paddle wheel flow meters utilizing copper tees. Other materials are available on special order.
