The Duplex Carbon Filter System – VIP-1E Series is a high-performance, demand-initiated filtration solution designed for continuous commercial and industrial use.
Featuring a duplex parallel configuration, this complete system ensures that treated water is always available by utilizing two filtration tanks simultaneously, with a design that specifically prevents unfiltered water bypass during backwash cycles.
It is equipped with an advanced VIP-1E solid-state controller that monitors flow rates and demand to initiate backwash automatically, providing a reliable and efficient method for removing chlorine, odors, and organic contaminants in high-flow environments.
- Duplex parallel operation. No unfiltered water bypass during backwash.
- VIP-1E electronic metered or time clock feature & UL listed.
- Solid state single metered demand initiated backwash including rate of flow, re-settable totalizing meter & self-diagnostic status monitoring. NEMA enclosed controller.
- Lead-free brass multiport control valves with self-cleaning, hydraulically balanced positive acting piston.
- Par 2 – Systems offer one single pipe size larger flow meter!
- ABS tank liner for longer service life. FRP wrapped for strength and corrosion resistance. ANSI/NSF listed tanks.
- 120V/60Hz/1pH transformer included/ twist lock style electrical connections/ 24V control voltage.
- Optional: Differential pressure backwash feature
- Optional: VIP-2E triplex and/or quadraplex units available.

Note: 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ flow meters supplied with above products are plastic. 3″ and 4″ are insertion type paddle wheel flow meters utilizing copper tees. Other materials are available on special order.
Note: Duplex parallel systems have next size larger flow meter to handle double the flow rate. If not required, order duplex alternating system and program for parallel mode.
